Weekend Update!

I know.  I've been a terrible blogger the last couple days.  So I'm going to change the direction of my blog and post what's been happening the last couple days!

Friday -- Woke up a little later then usual due to not having class until noon on Fridays.  Highlight of my week.  I went to lunch at my dining hall and the line was short enough that I got stir fry!!!  We ate lunch on the couches, totally normal, and I got to drink my favorite cranberry lemonade aka "cranade" and SOY MILK.

After lunch I headed to class for a couple hours (math and econ) and then made my way back to my dorm.  The weather finally decided that it would be winter so it was a complete struggle heading back.  Not only was the wind pushing me in the other direction but the snow was blowing all over my face and I literally couldn't look forward.  Strugs.

Instead of heading to the movies about a mile away from the dorm, my friend and I decided to go to the library to get some hard core studying done.  We studied for a couple hours and eventually decided to head back because 1. We were starving and needed to get food and 2.  It was still snow storming and we didn't want to risk getting stranded.

Dinner was decent as usual but I had to get ready for my first PC sleepover!!!  So much estrogen...but so much fun!

Saturday -- we woke up to some of the SX pledges telling us that breakfast was ready...at 8:15.  4 hours of sleep meant an incredibly tired Kat.  After returning to my dorm...BTW IT'S PLEDGE MOM WEEK...I decided it would be completely pointless to take a nap for an hour, so instead I did all of the things that I hate doing (laundry, dishes, vacuuming, etc.).  Next, I had a swim meet that ended up taking 3ish hours.  Our team placed 2nd which was a really good showing for us!  After the meet I was starving, as usual, so a couple of friends and I went out to dinner.

We got back to the dorm around 8:30.  One of my friends gave herself a facial...no worries, I got a couple pics!  I made a couple Valentines, even though I HATE valentine's day.  Ended up going to bed way too late, which was a problem because...

Sunday -- I had to wake up at 10 for an interview at 10:45 this morning.  Sleep > Eating so I stayed in bed until 10:15.  In classic swimming fashion I managed to get ready in 15 minutes and got to my interview with 2 minutes to spare!  Score.  Went to another meeting at my chapter house and then stayed to make tactile valentines, which was super cool.  I never realized how much we perceive with our eyes, and it was challenging to try to recreate those effects without using visual aids.  Went to another Valentine's Day party after to chill with some super cool kids!!!  Then it was back to the pool for a couple hours and then HAWT COOKIE BARHH.  #nomnomnomnomnom.  Which leaves me at this moment.  Sitting at my computer trying to do homework and in reality doing nothing at all.  I've loved the last 2 hours of my life.

My neopets are hungry.

Monday Musings

"Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other." -Abraham Lincoln.

Monday.  The first day of a new week.  For some reason, Monday mornings always are a struggle for me.  I set my alarm for 9:05 am...and usually manage to get out of bed by 9:20 for my 10:00 am class.  That seems like a lot of time, but it really isn't.  Here's a break down....

9:20-9:25 Brush and floss teeth/clean face
9:25-9:30 Brush hair while picking out outfit for the day
9:30-9:35 Put on outfit, apply light makeup, put hair up in pony tail
9:35-9:40 Pack backpack for the day, slightly tidy room
9:40 Leave for class

----RANDOM THOUGHT----
One of the highlights of my day is when I walk down the main road of campus and run into people that I know.  For some reason, it makes it seem like you know so many people when you really only know 1-5 out of a couple hundred.
---------------------------------------

After my first class I head to lunch by myself at one of the on campus dining halls.  There is usually a decent selection of food and the best part is that there is always SOY MILK.  Yay.  While there was a humus bar today, the hot chocolate machine was broken and my favorite non-fat balsamic salad dressing was missing.  Oh well.

This week is going to be a little crazy:
1.  Trying to organize a speaker series
2.  Trying to organize an a cappella show
3.  Philanthropy Event
4.  PC Sleepover
5.  2 Solicitations to do
6.  2 Social Events
7.  1 Prospie
8.  HOMEWORK
9.  French Quiz
10.  Everything else that will decide to pop up

Ending this post with a pic of adorable puppies...because everyone like puppies.

I'll keep you posted.
